3 tips to make your 2023 the best year ever.

Here are three tips to make 2023 the best year ever. If you are in real estate, this is targeted to realtors, but it will work for any business.

So, tip number one, have a written business plan. The business plan has to be written on paper or a blank business plan if you have a format. If not, you can always drop your email, I can email you a blank one. A couple of things on this. Whenever you are making a business plan, There are two parts to the business plan. One is the plan for the business which takes time. For example, your lead sources you're going to work on, your mission, vision, all those little things, "Your WHY", why you are in real estate and so on. That stays the same. We just modify that year after year. So literally take time to make that. The other thing is one page is the production page. This means how many transactions you want to do it in 2023. That changes because the more you grow, the more you have more staff in place or you build a team, whatever it is, that changes. So take your time to do the business plan. 

Number two is to break that business plan into small pieces. This means weekly, what do you want to achieve on a monthly basis & what do you have to do on a weekly basis? The actions you're going to put in. Because once you make that big goal and then you don't go and look at that business plan from time to time, it's not going to happen. So it's always a good idea to break it down to small pieces, to a weekly basis, and then put that on your vision board in front of you, like in a little paper, this is my appointment goal, this is my conversation goal, this is the goal I want to achieve, "the results". So I got to break it down. 

Number three is very important. A lot of people start 2023 on January 2nd when they get back to the office. Always do five to six weeks before means you got to start your 2023, preferably, not preferably actually, must by Thanksgiving. Just after Thanksgiving, get on 2023. If you can do it earlier, it's better. But you must start your 2023 goal just after Thanksgiving, the day you're going back to the office. That's because anything you put from that day onwards, like any new file or any listing you get or any buyer you get, or you put a contract, it's not likely to close this year, it's going to be on the next year. So always drag that five to six weeks before you start the new year you start on your goal.
