Breaking the Cold Calling FEAR - Ask a lot of questions
Hey, my realtor friend, you are in real estate, if you want to grow to the next level, generate a lot of business for yourself.
Cold calling is one of the biggest ways to reach out to the community, reach out to your client. Because due to Covid, we do not have enough networking opportunities these days. So in part two, I spoke about what to think about as a discovery call.
Now this is part three and I would like to tell you guys how to make it as a discovery call rather than a sales call. What do you do?
Ask a lot of questions. When you call someone just after you ask their name or if they own that home or whatever, the starting messages. After starting, you ask them different questions about real estate. About their thoughts about their home, about any real estate needs they have. Bottom line is to ask a lot of questions. Let them answer. You just listen to them. Because as a realtor, we do have a tendency to talk a lot because we know it all, don't we? So we talk, talk about what we do, we lose the connection with the client. Rather, you ask them questions. Even you know that. Just ask them. What do you think about the real estate prices going up these days? What do you think about your neighborhood? Any questions. And then take them to a direction where you want to know their real estate needs.
So ask a lot of questions. Keep your ear open, listen to them and find their need, their true need for real estate and give them the solution. That's how the business comes from. Hopefully this information is going to change your mindset from sales to discovery of the client's needs. Give me a call if you have any questions.
