Mistakes on buying a 2nd Home - not considering maintenance aspects
Mistakes when buying a second home or a vacation home and this is considering the maintenance of the property. Unless you're buying a condo, what normally, if we are from South Florida and buying in the mountain area, we all want to buy a log home. So the maintenance, or if you're moving to South Florida and want to buy a single-family home, consider the maintenance of the property on a regular basis. Because if it's a long drive, a few hours drive and you're busy at your work and if you have to just go there to maintain the property, it doesn't work.
And also the construction, the home in South Florida has a different construction material they use because of the weather. You go to the mountain area, it's a totally different material to use. So you need to have knowledge or you have to have someone who can maintain the property who is local and inexpensive.
So remember that when you buy an investment, a second home or a vacation home, you have to maintain that too. Anything can happen. There could be a plumbing problem, there could be electrical problems. So who will handle that? Do you have time to go there on and off? Do you have time to spend the whole weekend just to maintain the home? So consider the maintenance aspect of a second home or a vacation home. Hopefully this video will help you decide to buy the right property for your vacation home or 2nd home.
